Madhvani Foundation Injects Shs 700Million In University Student Sponsorship

With a reported annual increase in the number of A level students who fail to join university, the Madhvani foundation has put in place 700 million shillings to sponsor students joining university under the undergraduates and postgraduate programs

While unveiling this fund in Kampala, Hon Gerald Sendawula the chairman Muljibhai Madhvani Board revealed that this sponsorship is targeting the less privileged students with qualifications to join university in various disciplines

“We can’t forget that there are many A’ level student who perform very well but are not taken by government due to limited resources. This is an opportunity to ensure that they pursue their dreams ” Sendawula said.

He added that the committee in charge of selecting the applicants chaired by Hon Gabriel Opio is going to be strict in ensuring that it’s only the less privileged students who are given the first priority

On this sponsorship, he applauded the Madhvani foundation for giving back to Ugandans yet they had a right to invest in other sectors of their choice.

Ever since this program started, the foundation has so far injected Shs 8.5billion and benefitted 2,240 students.

All those with qualifications will just have to fill the forms on the foundation website.
