On Saturday, hundreds of physical fitness enthusiasts thronged the KCCA FC stadium in Lugogo for the first edition of ‘Lucky’s groove back’ fitness program.
The program was started by Capital FM’s Lucky Mbabazi to equip people with physical fitness drills that they can do on their own so as to remain in good shape.
“We are here to do what we couldn’t do on our own, and we are here to get fit,” said lucky before the lessons begun.
The highly anticipated 1st edition lived up to its hyped billing as participants were taken through different sessions such as Zumba, that was conducted by Gerry Opoka and the soul sisters, while Robbie Fitness took charge of the aerobics and other physical fitness sessions.
The big crowd was composed of mainly corporates who are the main people that always don’t find time to work out.
Lydia who is a banker, was full of praise for the initiative, “This has been so beneficial to me, it has been a wonderful experience having fun and working out at the same time, I can’t wait for the next one,” she said.
The mother of four, who is a fitness freak, said that, due to the high demand from the public, there will be another session next month instead of doing it quarterly like it had earlier on planned.
“I am so humbled by the turn up but most importantly to learn that people have benefited from it and are appreciative. Many of them have asked me to have another one very soon and I won’t disappoint them,” Lucky said.
