Sheebah Karungi Wins Best Female East African at AFRIMMA

TNS singing diva Sheebah Karungi is adding an AFRIMMA gong to her awards cabinet.

Sheebah was named the Best Female East Africa artiste the just concluded 2018 AFRIMMA awards that took place over the weekend at House of Blues Dallas, Texas-USA.

The ‘“Wankona’ hit maker had been pitted against other talented female singers from the region like Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania), Leyla Kayondo (Uganda), Knowles Butera (Rwanda), Rema (Uganda), Akothee (Kenya), Nandy (Tanzania), Juliana Kanyomozi (Uganda) and Charly & Nina (Rwanda) for the prestigious award.

Sheebah Karungi joins the likes of Eddy Kenzo and Ykee Benda who all emerged winners at the awards event.

Kenzo was voted Best Male East Africa while YKee Benda bagged Best Newcomer.

Another Ugandan, media personality Anita Fabiola hosted the event.

It’s safe to say Ugandans owned the 2018 AFRIMMA awards.
